Use this in the following cases: You have been asked to perform an extra and have submitted a proposed written change order. It has been reviewed by the project architect, owner, owner’s project manager or superintendent, or general contractor. Unfortunately, they have either refused to make a decision or have returned it back as not approved. You do not agree with their analysis and therefore want to respond. The whole idea is to attempt to get them to change their mind so you can proceed with the extra work and be paid additional compensation.
